ASSET CREATION
Responsible for the best bit of merch in the history of Toronto radio. We needed a way for Q107 listeners to fall in love with their new Scottish evening show presenter, me. So, I hosted the show from a different backyard each week, with barbeque, beers, and a live band. But what really made it zing was the merch: Jars of homemade BBQ rub we gave away. These became highly prized items, and the word of mouth marketing was invaluable.
Looking for ways to launch myself in Nova Scotia radio as an unknown with a foreign accent, I invented The Glockenspiel of Rockenspiel, upon which I would bang out classic rock anthems. It proved so popular this mythical instrument followed me across Canada.
(Incase you can’t tell from the picture, it is signed by Jack Black and Kyle Gass from Tenacious D. Another story I will tell you if I get to an interview.)
